Established in August 1987, Shaheed Sukhdev College of Business Studies (SSCBS) is a premier institution of the University of Delhi, Imparting path-breaking education in the fields of Management and Information Technology. Shaheed Sukhdev College of Business Studies (CBS) offers Bachelor of Management Studies (BMS), BBA (Financial Investment Analysis) and B. Sc. (H) Computer Science.
In the past few years, the value of CBS in terms of placements has soared and has become an integral part of the college for established as well as fresh companies to scout for talent and an attraction for management students shaping their career.
SSCBS has yet again seen a multitude of prestigious companies expressing their faith in its students this year. All the efforts of the Career Development Centre (CDC team, SSCBS) in the form of corporate presentations, alumni calling etc proved fruitful with 68 companies on campus resulting in an incredible 155 job offers made to the students and still counting.
According to Mr. Rishabh Bhatia (Vice-President, Career Development Cell SSCBS), highest recruiters were KPMG with 20 offers and Bain Capability with 11 offers. The average package offered was INR 6.4 LPA and the highest package INR 17 LPA was offered by D. E. Shaw Group for the profile of Associate – Financial Research. Besides big companies like (EY, KPMG, and Deloitte) other recruiters were The Boston Consulting Group, AT Kearney, DE Shaw, McKinsey Knowledge Centre, Verity, Duff & Phelps, United Airlines and Knight Frank etc. The CDC team with its newer enthusiasm and efforts is in full swing with its placement process.
The faith of companies in the students helped the college in achieving a placement ratio of more than 83%, which is amongst the highest in the Delhi University. A diverse mix of profiles including business analyst, strategic consulting associate, marketing executive, equity and other research-oriented positions offered by 15 different sectors offered companies.

With an intake ratio of 1:140, CBS ensures that its greatest strength is its human capital which comprises some of the sharpest minds in the country. CBS follows a three-tier selection process involving a competitive examination followed by a round of group discussions and interviews. For the final selection of a candidate due weight age is allotted to the different criteria as follows: – Aptitude Exam – 85%, Interview – 7.5% and finally Group Discussion – 7.5%.
CBS provides career services that help students plan their resumes, helps them to understand job profiles, and prepares them for interviews with companies.
