The IIIT, Delhi has surfaced as the best institute for placement. The academic session 2017-18 saw top-notch companies such as Qualcomm and Goldman Sachs interested in recruiting students from IIIT-D.
The institute is proud about 100 percent placement record for M.Tech CB and M.Tech CSE. In addition, there was 94 % placement in B.Tech CSE, 89% in B.Tech ECE, and 84% M.Tech ECE as per the reports of NDTV.
There has never been a hiccup with regards to internship roles during the IIT-D placement process since 106 organizations have been active participants.
Furthermore, IIIT-D can boast that the graduates of B.Tech attaining the highest-ever overseas pay package of Rs.71 lakh in its campus placements in the current year. It has been estimated that the average salary package at the campus was Rs.14.78 lakh. So far, Rs.40 lakh for B.Tech and Rs. 22 lakh for the M.Tech programme has been the highest compensation in the domestic front.
Out of 235 full-time job offers, 150 A+ offer with CTC Rs. 10 lakh and 85 A offers with CTC was between 6 to 10 lakh. Also, there were 211 intern offers.
Apart from a maximum contribution from Qualcomm and Goldman Sachs, other top recruiters who participated in placement session were Amazon, Adobe, IBM Research, Microsoft, Myntra, NXP Semiconductors, ST Micro Electronics, Direct I, SanDisk, etc.
The feather in the cap for IIIT-D was the highest stipend offered to interns of the graduating batch of Rs. 1 lakh per month.
