NATIONAL ELIGIBILITY CUM ENTRANCE TEST (NEET) conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), for admission to MBBS/BDS Courses in India in Medical/Dental Colleges run with the approval of Medical Council of India/Dental Council of India under the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India except for the institutions established through an Act of Parliament i.e. AIIMS and JIPMER Pondicherry.
Recently National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the detailed schedule for UGC NET December 2018, JEE Main I, JEE Main II, NEET, CMAT, and GPAT.
JEE Main will be conducted twice a year, the agency will be conducting NEET only once and the mode for NEET UG exam will remain offline. The number of languages in which NEET is conducted will also remain the same as last year.
Earlier the HRD Ministry had said that JEE Main, as well as NEET UG, will be conducted twice a year and the best of two scores will be used to prepare the merit list of candidates. There were also plans to change the mode of NEET to online. However, the Ministry has decided to hold NEET only once and in offline mode upon request from the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, who wanted the same pattern followed last year to be maintained.
NEET 2019 details:
The application form will be started from 1st November 2018 and will end on 30th November. The examination will be held at once in a year with offline mode. The exam will be organized on 5th May 2019. Type of Questions will be objective type questions in the exam. The exam duration will be of three hours. Total 180 questions will be asked. The question paper will be asked in Hindi, English, Gujarati, Marathi, Oriya, Bengali, Assamese, Telugu, Tamil, Urdu and Kannada languages. For each correct answer, four marks will be given. For each incorrect answer, one mark will be deducted.
Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) is an engineering entrance examination conducted for admission to various engineering colleges in India. It is constituted by two different examinations – JEE Main and the JEE Advanced. The exams are of the objective pattern. JEE Advanced is regarded internationally as one of the most challenging undergraduate admission tests.
The registration for JEE Main I exam will begin on September 1 and end on September 30, 2018. The exam will be conducted from January 6 to January 20, 2018, in multiple sessions. Registration for JEE Main II will begin from February 8 and end on March 7, 2018. The examination will be conducted from April 6 to April 20, 2018.
CMAT and GPAT
Common Management Admission Test (CMAT) is a national level entrance examination conducted by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) every year as per the directions of Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Government of India.
GRADUATE PHARMACY APTITUDE TEST (GPAT) is a national level entrance exam conducted by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) every year as per the directions of Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Government of India.
Registration for CMAT and GPAT will begin from November 1 and end on November 30, 2018. The examination will be conducted on January 28, 2018.
