Ryan, a seven-year-old kid happens to make Rs 155 crore a year, earning the title of highest-earning YouTube celebrity. Forbes is reporting that Ryan Toys Review, a household run YouTube channel, made $22 million (155 crores) pre-tax between June 2017-2018.
Ryan, the highest earning YouTuber
Ryan of Ryan Toys Review came in first place in Forbes’ ranking of this year’s 10 highest-paid YouTubers in the world. He surpassed a number of well-known YouTubers on this year’s list, beating 21-year-old actor and YouTube personality Jake Paul.
The young boy, whose last name and location within the US haven’t been made public to protect his privacy, jumped from eighth place last year to number one this year.
As of now, ‘Ryan Toys Review’, the three-year-old YouTube channel has more than 17 million (1.7 crores) subscribers with more than 26 billion video views till date.
He reviews toys on his channel with the help of his parents who also feature in his videos sometimes.
Those who make online videos on YouTube know that channels don’t become popular overnight as often depicted in Hindi cinema.
However, for Ryan, his channel came to limelight when his video– Pixar ‘Cars’ toy car review went viral.
The video has more than 935 million views right now, where Ryan opens a giant egg filled with Pixar ‘Cars’ toys.
“One day, he asked me, ‘How come I am not on YouTube when all the other kids are? So we just decided yeah, we can do that,” his mom, who preferred to remain anonymous, told Tube Filter in 2016.
“Then, we took him to the store to get his very first toy I think it was a Lego train set and it all started from there,” she added.
