IIT-BHU student bags annual package of Rs 1.04 crore this placement session

Varanashi: The placement drive that started at Indian Institute of Technology (IIT-BHU) Banaras Hindu University (BHU) from Saturday, December 01, 2018 onward has offered a student with Rs 1.04 crore per annum. The offer was made by the US-based company. The placement drive will continue till December 20, 2018.

This year 1151 students have registered themselves for campus selection at IIT-BHU. The placement drive witnessed 266 students having job offers of the salary package between Rs 47 to 12 lakh. The selection is done through an online test, group discussion, and interview.

Approx 87 companies were at the placement session to offer jobs to the students. Tesco, TCS, Citrix, SRIN, Myntra BDA, Morgan Stanley, Paypal, Fidelity Investments, Oyo Rooms, Flipkart are some of the companies that have come down to IIT BHU for the placement drive. Around 150 students have bagged the internship offers from 33 companies.

This is not the first time IIT-BHU student has received such an annual package offer. Earlier in 2014 also a student of IIT-BHU has been offered Rs 2.03 crore as annual remuneration by Oracle, the American MNC. In the same year, Google Mountain View offers a student Rs 1.63 crore package.
