IGNOU Campus Placement Drive – AXIS Bank Limited Shortlisted 150 Students

The mission and endeavor of IGNOU Campus Placement Cell are to enhance and facilitate the process of gainful employment for its divergent and distributive learner population for entry-level jobs as well as mid-career level employment opportunities, matching and commensurate with their personal and academic profiles. In the present day business scenario, companies demand job-ready candidates for employment at the shortest possible time period.

The qualified students are expected to be equipped with employable skills suitable for respective sectors. Taking into account this scenario, the cell has aligned its strategies to enhance the Employability Quotient of our students by imparting employable skills training after their skills mapping and bridging the gaps through appropriate training. The cell conducts on-campus and off-campus placement and employability enhancement activities at the headquarters and at some Regional Centres.

Recently, The Campus Placement Cell (CPC) of Indira Gandhi National Open University or IGNOU in association with Regional Centres of Delhi, NCR organized Campus Placement Drive on October 9, 2018, at B. R. Ambedkar Convention Centre, IGNOU Campus, Maidan Garhi, New Delhi-110068.

150 students have been shortlisted or selected for the position of Business Development Executive (BDE) in Banking Sector by the participating company in the campus placement drive.

As per IGNOU statement, “In this drive, 150 students have been shortlisted/selected for the position of Business Development Executive (BDE) in Banking Sector by the participating company.”

Key Responsibilities of the Business Development Executive (BDE)

• To acquire new Bank customers and pursue new business relationships
• To fulfill KYC norms
• To reach out to High Net-worth individuals
• To increase the customer base by developing a business relationship with current customers

Key Skills of Business Development Executive (BDE):

• Presentable, Good communication skills
• Good interpersonal skill
• High sales orientation for achieving numbers
• Proactive and creative, able to work under pressure

Salary offered – Rs. 13, 700/- p.m including a sum of Rs. 800/- pm. For meeting conveyance expenses. CTC –Rs. 1.90. LPA Incentive: one can earn maximum incentives up to Rs. 7,20,000/-pa. (Rs. 60,000/-p.m.)

Graduates and Post Graduate programme students were allowed to participate in the drive. The students were asked to carry two copies of their latest resume (having IGNOU enrolment no.), ID proof, address proof, and passport size photographs at the time of interview.
