CAT 2018 last date of registration extended. Common Admission Test is a national level management entrance exam for the academic session 2019-20. The Indian Institutes of Management will conduct the computer-based Common Admission Test on Sunday, 25th November 2018 in two sessions.

Important aspects you need to know

REGISTRATION FOR CAT:

CAT Nov. 2018, the registration window opened on 8th August 2018 and will close at 5:00 p.m. on 19th September 2018 (now extended till September 26th, 2018).

At the time of registration, the candidates have to select any four Test Cities as per their preference from the drop-down menu. CAT 2018 Registration Fee for General candidates is INR 1900 and INR 1000 for reserved category candidates.

Registration fee could be paid through online payment modes only, which will include credit cards, debit cards, and net banking. There is no additional application fee to apply for the 50 management programs offered by the leading 20 IIMs (Indian Institute of Management) in the country.

The candidates can download the admit cards from 24th October 2018 till 25th November 2018 through the official website, iimcat.ac.in.

CAT EXAM PATTERN:

The paper for CAT comprises 3 sections –
• VARC – Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension
• DILR – Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning
• Quant – Quantitative Ability

A total of 100 questions are to be attempted in 180 minutes, 60 minutes for answering questions in each section. Nearly 70% questions in CAT are likely to carry negative marking of 1/3 marks.

The CAT 2018 Scores are allowed to be used by the listed non-IIM member institutions. List of non-IIM member institutions that have registered to avail the CAT 2018 scores is provided at the official website. Please note that IIMs have no role in the selection process of non-IIM institutions.
